Reversing device

The invention relates to a reversing device for a double-acting piston/cylinder unit, in particular for hydraulic reversible ploughs, with a control piston and an auxiliary piston arranged inside the control piston for obtaining a small effective area. The control piston of a known construction has such a small overlap between the feed and the control space effecting the reversing that considerable leakages flow into the control space and have to be drawn off via comparatively large restrictors. This results in considerable flow losses during full pressurising of the control space. To avoid this phenomenon, the small auxiliary piston, according to the invention, is provided with a control edge which opens the connection to the control space after a certain stroke of the control piston. The control piston itself has a large overlap so that the leakage remains slight.
