The sleeve is intended for radial shaft-sealing rings and has a supporting body which is provided with at least one elastically deformable sealing part extending radially inwards. It comprises at least two annular sealing portions which are situated adjacent to one another in the axial direction of the supporting body and are of elastically deformable design and of integral design with the supporting body. They extend radially inwards from a root of the supporting body and, in the installed condition, rest with elastic prestress on a component to be sealed off. Any desired sealing surface pressure distribution can be set by varying the length and/or thickness of the sealing portions. As a result, the radial reaction force can be matched precisely to the required leak-tightness and the required service life.
