<p>PURPOSE:To avoid getting interference in a holding hand, by controlling the holding hand so as to be opened as far as the setting value from a holding position in conformity with each size of a battery and a car body. CONSTITUTION:When a car body is conveyed to a battery loading position by a compound assembling line, a car type is detected by a detecting device. So far as such a car type as being sufficient in a space around a battery in case of a large-sized car type, a cylinder 11A large in a stroke amount of a holding hand driving device 9 is operated, opening the holding hand 9. In case of a small car type, a cylinder 11B small in the stroke amount is operated and thereby battery holding is released free. Therefore, the holding hand 6 will not interfere with other members around the battery.</p> |
