PROCESS FOR PREPARING POLYMER POLYAHLS

Process for preparing a polymer polyahl comprising polymerizing an ethylenically unsaturated monomer or mixtures thereof in a polyahl or polyahl mixture whereby a dispersion of polymer particles is prepared in a continuous polyahl phase. The process is characterized by conducting said polymerization in the presence of a triiodomethyl compound. The use of the triodomethyl compound provides a lower viscosity, more stable polymer polyahl.
