The forced-draught burner for gaseous or liquid fuels, which is suitable for attachment to a heating boiler, a heating furnace or the like, has a blower housing (1) which is delimited by two parallel end walls (3, 9) and a spiral wall (8) arranged between them and in which an impeller (31) driven by a blower motor (30) is situated. Arranged eccentrically and axially parallel in relation thereto is a flame pipe (27) with a nozzle connection (54). Adjoining the spiral wall (8) is a ring sector wall (11) which is coaxial with the flame pipe (27) and which extends over approximately three quarters of the circumferential length of a cylinder. The combustion air supply from the blower housing (1) into the flame pipe (27) takes place via a ring-like cavity (42) and radial openings (15) which are arranged in the pipe wall (13) of a flame pipe extension inside the the rear wall plane and are adjustable to different passage cross-sections by means of a regulating sleeve (14). In order, with a compact construction, to achieve a uniform air distribution over the entire flame pipe cross-section, there is arranged between the blower housing (1) and the cavity (42) a ring sector-shaped air-guide body (41, 41') which completes the ring sector wall (11) to form a full circle and extends at least over the axial length of the openings (15). <IMAGE>
