<p>In the case of an electrical water heater, especially a hot-water store, heating elements 1, 2, 3 can be switched on and off in at least two heating-power stages. A temperature-regulator contact arrangement T55, T54 is connected in series with the winding S of a switching relay S, S1, S2, S3. In order by using simple switching measures to prevent the maximum heating power being switched on after a power failure, the temperature-regulator contact arrangement T55, T54 operates the switching relay S, S1, S2, S3 only in a temperature band which is less than half the difference between the minimum and maximum water temperatures and is between 20 DEG C and 70 DEG C. One contact S2 of the switching relay S, S1, S2, S3 holds said relay in the picked-up position, after the switching relay has been picked up via the temperature-regulator contact arrangement T55, T54. <IMAGE></p> |
