PURPOSE:To perform vertical positioning of a chock in conformity with a necessary depressing degree, by both restricting the chock from its side by a pressing head driven by an air cylinder or the like and tightening the chock to be restricted in a vertical direction by a jack-driven depressing head and a clamp oppositely arranged to the depressing head. CONSTITUTION: A fixing device, setting a chock pressing head 5, longitudinally driven in the end of a device 4 of air cylinder or the like, in one side of a roll chock 3 of a brush roll 1 while a fixed frame 6 in the other side, drives the device 4 tightening the chock 3 between the device 4 and the frame 6 to be restricted in the horizontal direction. Further the fixing device, arranging a chock depressing head 7 and a chock clamping head 8 in an upper and a bottom side of the chock 3 and vertically driving the depressing head 7 by an actuatot 9 so as to tighten the chock 3 to be redtricted with the clamping head 8 in the vertical direction, forces the brush roll 1 to be brought into pressure contact with a metal strip (a) in an upper or a bottom side of the chock 3. |
