In a spray gun for fluids flowing under excess pressure, having a valve housing (12) which is arranged inside a gun housing (11) and contains, between a perpendicular feed line (13) and a discharge line (14) at an angle thereto, a shut-off body (22) which can be acted on by a compression spring (23) and can be displaced by a swivellable hand lever (18) via a pressure rod (25), the valve housing (12) and the pivot axis (20) of the hand lever (18) are arranged in the lower end region of the gun housing (11), from which the hand lever (18) protrudes. By virtue of this arrangement it is possible to use essentially the force of the index finger to hold the hand lever (18) because this finger engages on the largest lever arm. <IMAGE>
