In a radiant ceiling heating system according to the invention, one or more structural units (16, 17) with preferably in each case three parallel straight radiant tube sections (11, 13, 15 and 19, 20, 21) are arranged one behind another. The burner (10) suspended below the ceiling works directly into the central radiant tube (11) which has a slightly greater tube diameter than the two outer tubes (13, 15). Provided in each case at the end of a straight tube section (11, 19) is an elbow (12) which diverts the heating gases into a second straight tube section (20, 13) which is flowed through in the opposite direction and at the end of which a further elbow (14) deflects the heating gases into a third parallel tube section (15, 21) with a fan (25) arranged at its end, which conveys the heating gases through the pipe system by means of low pressure. As a result of the element design, such a radiant ceiling heating system can be extended at will by means of structural elements which can be mass produced, with in principle the same pipe arrangement. <IMAGE>
