<p>PURPOSE:To enable formation of a given gap so that an engaging part is prevented from deformation even if an oil pump cover is expanded, by a method wherein an oil pump housing is formed with an oil pump body and an oil pump cover, which have a difference in a thermal expansion rate therebetween. CONSTITUTION:An annular laminar part 3e of an oil pump body 3 contains an oil pump 2 having internal tooth gears 2a and 2b. An inner peripheral surface 3c of a boss part 3b of an outer periphery 3a of the laminar part 3e forms an engaging part 6 with an oil pump cover 5. Further, the cover 5 is provided at its outer periphery 5b with a cylindrical part 5e having a seal ring groove 5d engaged with a seal ring 5c, and with an annular laminar part 5f having an outer peripheral surface 5a, radially extended outwardly from the cylindrical part 5e and forming an engaging part 6. Further, A thermal influence absorbing part 7, formed at the engaging part 6, is formed with a ring groove 7c formed in the outer peripheral surface 5a, an O-ring 7b, and a gap 7a, and prevents deformation of the engaging part 6 due to strain.</p> |
