PURPOSE:To fill a filling liquid without invading or leaving air bubbles inhibiting ink droplet jet operation, by filling a chamber to be filled with a liquid with gas having higher solubility to the filling liquid as compated with air in place of air of said chamber and substituting said gas with the liquid after the filling of said gas. CONSTITUTION:The displacement amplifying chamber 3, the ink chamber 5 and the air chamber 10 within an ink droplet jet apparatus 1 are reduced in pressure. After the pressure is reduced to a predetermined level, a vacuum pump 14 is once stopped and a selector 23 held to a closed state is changed over to communicate a CO2 bomb 20 and the ink droplet jet apparatus 1 and the chambers 3, 5, 10 held under a reduced pressure state are filled with the CO2-gas in the CO2 bomb 20. After the filling of the CO2-gas, the selector 23 is again brought to a closed state and the vacuum pump 14 is operated. After the reduction in the pressure of the CO2-gas within the chambers 3, 5, 10 was finished, a first solenoid valve 16 is closed and a filling liquid tank 22 is brought into communication with the ink droplet jet apparatus 1 by the selector 23. Whereupon, the filling liquid such as water or ink received in the filling liquid tank 22 is allowed to to fill the displacement amplifying chamber 3, the ink chamber 5 and the air chamber 10 held under a reduced pressure state of the CO2-gas on the basis of the pressure difference thereof. |
