PURPOSE:To prevent the printing deviation even if high-speed recording is performed without feeding interruptedly a recording medium, by correcting the printing position of each head through a piezoelectric element synchronously with the moving operation of a head supporting body. CONSTITUTION:The movement of the multihead supporting body whose one reciprocation cycle is within a period when the recording medium is moved by an extent corresponding to one dot is detected optically by a rotary encoder or the like, and a position signal R passes a delay circuit 54 and is counted by a counter 51. The counted value is applied to a piezoelectric element 42 of each head of the multihead through a D/A converter 52, etc., and the printing position of each head is corrected as required through the piezoelectric element synchronously with the going motion of the multihead in the direction orthogonal to the moving direction of the recording medium. The similar operation is performed when the multihead is returned, and thus, printing deviation is prevented even if high- speed recording is performed without feeding interruptedly the recording medium. |
