The invention relates to a machine for opening cliplock bottles. The cliplock bottles are opened in a rotary device (6) in which the bottles are axially clamped by means which engage on the bottom and top of the bottle and are held in a rotationally fixed manner. The lower clip of the cliplock is unlocked when the bottles are in a clamped position by means of a forked, cam-controlled unlocking element (28) which engages on the lower clip and is assigned to each reception area of the rotary device (6). The lock is fully released (the lock button is raised) when the top of the bottle is exposed in the outlet star, by means of a cam-controlled opening element (34) which engages on the upper clip and which is assigned to each pocket of the outlet star (7). <IMAGE>
