Building structures are secured reliably against dynamic loads, in particular earthquakes, by being supported in practice on flexible building elements. These flexible building elements have sets of springs and damping elements assigned asymmetrically to the latter. In this arrangement, the number of damping elements corresponds to the dynamic stressing to be expected, said damping elements being assigned in each case to that edge of the flexible building element which is located in the maintenance passage. For this purpose, they are additionally arranged on footings, with the result that they can be monitored and, if appropriate, also maintained. For better maintenance, some of these damping elements have measuring devices which determine the acceleration and further values which are fed to a computer and a display unit or an evaluation means. In this way, the entire anti-earthquake securing means can be continuously and reliably monitored and exchanged, if appropriate in its basic parts, when loads occur. In addition to the securing means beneath the building structure, the objects arranged within the building structure are also secured by assigning damping elements. The objects are suspended, for example in a swinging manner and are secured by damping elements connected in parallel. The same applies for the systems arranged within the building structures. <IMAGE>
