In a transport vehicle with four-wheel axle pivot steering, in each case one steering arm (3) which can be lengthened in an articulated fashion by means of a removable shaft (5) is mounted in the centre of the axle at each end of the vehicle, and both steering arms (3) are coupled to one another with reversal of the direction of rotation. In order to be able to manoeuvre such a transport vehicle more easily by means of a tractor, a load-bearing bar (2) which protrudes in the longitudinal direction at both ends of the vehicle is provided, the said bar (2) having a support coupling (6) and the steering being lockable. The support coupling preferably comprises a bolt which protrudes downwards from the bar (2) and can be combined with a trailer coupling. Holding devices (7) for the shaft (5) which has been folded upwards can be used to lock the steering. Preferably, the end sections of the bar are arranged under the steering arms (3) and protrude in the longitudinal direction beyond the joints (32) of the shaft. Expediently, a load-bearing central bar (2) which extends over the entire length of the vehicle is provided. <IMAGE>
