PURPOSE:To contrive to increase the number of types, by constituting the titled apparatus so that an alphabet (S or Y) and a mark (I or =) are printed in a separated state when characters of $ or Yen are printed and, after either one of them is printed, overlapping prining is performed to move a carriage to the next printing figure. CONSTITUTION:When the printing character inputted from a keyboard 1 is a dollar mark $, a control circuit 2 selects the S-character of an alphabet to print the same and subsequently selects a mark ''I'' to print the same at the same position without moving a carriage. Then, the control circuit 2 allows the carriage to move to the next printing figure to bring the same to a stand-by state. When a yen mark Yen is inputted, the control circuit 2 prints the Y-character of an alphabet and subsequently prints an equal mark ''='' in an overlapped state to enable the printing of the yen mark Yen. By this method, the increase in the number of types received in a daisy wheel can be achieved. |
