PURPOSE:To correct the meandering of a sheet accurately and quickly by providing one end side of a rotary shaft of a roller brought into contact with a running sheet as a supporting point, and turning the other end side of the rotary shaft to displace horizontally. CONSTITUTION:When the meandering of a sheet S running in contact with a roller 1 is caused and a touch sensor 3 is operated, according to an output signal of the sensor 3, an air passage switch mechanism 4 is switched so that air from a compressor 15 is fed to a cylinder 4 through an air pipe 18 or 19 to advance or retreat the air cylinder 4. According to the forward and backward movement of the cylinder 4, a slider 12 is advanced and retreated so that a placing table 10 for a bearing 9 supporting one end of a rotary shaft 2 is moved through a vertical shaft 11. Thus, the roller 1 is turned round a vertical shaft of a bearing supporting the other end of the rotary shaft 2 to act in such a manner as to correct the meandering of the sheet S. |
