PURPOSE:To maintain papers in tray under the optimal moist condition by enclosing the paper feed mechanism including the elevator tray when not recording and protecting from moisture and dehumidifying through drying agent. CONSTITUTION:Upon finish of recording function, the elevator tray 1 is lowered to the paper feed position. Rollers 70, 75 in selective door open/close mechanism 7 are driven forward, for example, while interlocking with said lowering motion to close the opening of housing 6 by means of a sheet door 71 stretched over said rollers 70, 75. Under closed condition, the interior of housing 6 is dehumidified by the dehumidifying section 80 in dehumidifying means 8 and maintained at constant moisture condition. While power is fed to a heater 81 as the opening is closed (or continuously) to evaporate the water adsorbed by dehumidifying substance in dehumidifying section 80 and maintained in withstandable condition against repeated usage. |
