CATALYTIC BURNING APPARATUS

PURPOSE:To shut off the fuel supply to the burning chamber when a malfunction or failure of a temperature sensor occurs by attaching the joint of the temperature sensor that presses a flow rate control valve with low melting point metal. CONSTITUTION:An actuating plate 10 is connected to one end of a bimetal 8 with eutectic metal 9 (melting point 200-300 deg.C) using lead and tin which are low melting point metals. If the bimetal 8 continues to press a flow rate control valve 3 because of a malfunction or failure of the bimetal 8 while being used, the gas will continue to flow and the temperature continues to rise. When the temperature becomes higher than the normally controlled temperature to exceed 200 deg.C, the eutectic alloy 9 start melting to disconnect the actuating plate 10 and the bimetal 8. The actuating plate 10 then will no longer press the flow rate control valve, and the gas supply is shut off.
