PURPOSE:To execute rapid and perfect desilvering and to obtain a superior image by using a bleaching or bleach-fixing soln. contg. a specified org. acid ferric complex salt as a bleaching agent in a bleaching or bleach-fixing soln. and processing a photosensitive material after developing it with a color developing soln. contg. p-phenylanadiamine type developing agent having a water-soluble group on the amino group contg. a polymer coupler. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive material is exposed and developed with a color developing soln. contg. a p-phenylenediamine type developing agent having a water- soluble group represented by -(CH2)n-CH2OH, -(CH2)m-NHSO2(CH2)n-CH3, -(CH2)nO-CH3, or -(CH2CH2)nCmH2m+1, each of m and n being 0 or more, and then, processed direcly with the bleaching soln. or, preferably, one-bath type bleach-fixing soln. incorporating at least one of a group A of specified 16 kinds of aminopolycarboxylic acid ferric complex salts, such as diethylenetriaminepentaphosphonic acid ferric complex salt or cyclohexanediaminetetraacetic acid ferric complex salt, or at least one of a group B of org. acid ferric complex salts having an oxidation reduction potential difference of <=100mV in a speciied standard soln. in a pH of 5.0-9.0, thus permitting desilvering to be rapidly completed and a superior color image prevented from stains, etc., to be obtained. |
