<p>PURPOSE:To miniaturize the titled dust collector, in an electric dust collector, by providing straight line parts parallel to an air stream to the front stages of deflection plates having negative pressure troughs and arranging needle discharge electrodes therebetween to perform corona discharge. CONSTITUTION:Gas advances to the direction shown by the arrow and the ion generated by corona discharge of discharge electrodes 2 moves by an electric field to be adhered to dust particles to grow said particles to large particles by electrostatic flocculating action while the large particles are moved along the parallel parts 1a of dust collection electrodes 1 and subsequently along deflection parts 1b and finally collected in C-shaped negative pressure troughs 1C. By taking this constitution, fine particles with a particle size of 10mum or less can be also easily separated and collected at a high speed and the apparatus can be miniaturized. Reed screen like dust collection parts comprising parallel pipe groups are provided in place of the parallel parts 1a.</p> |
