PURPOSE:To prevent a recording paper from contacting developing devices to prevent dirt of the recording face by providing pneumatic devices which support the recording paper pneumatically and separating the recording paper from a developing device by the pneumatic device when the recording paper after development of each color is fed reversely. CONSTITUTION:A recording paper 26 is run in the direction of an arrow A by a take-up roll 27 for the purpose of recording one of yellow Y, magenta M, cyan C, and black B. A latent image is formed on a prescribed part of the recording paper 26 by an electrostatic recording head 15, and one of developing devices 21-24 is brought closely into contact with the recording paper 26 to develop the latent image. After recording of one color is terminated, the developing device used for this development is separated from the recording paper 26. The recording paper 26 is fed reversely in the direction of an arrow B by a supply roll 28. When the recoding paper 26 is fed reverse, vacuum attracting devices 11a, 11b, and 11c are operated to attract the recording paper 26, and the recording paper 26 is separated from developing devices 21-24 and is prevented from contacting developing devices 21-24. Thus, color development without dirt of the recording face is possible. |
