PURPOSE:To obtain a permanent magnet having excellent magnetic characteristics without having the effect of variation in various kinds of sintering conditions by a method wherein tantalum is used as the material for a sintering chamber. CONSTITUTION:The magnetic powder of the composition of Sm(Co0.78Fe0.10 Cu0.12)7.0 is molded by applying pressure in a magnetic field. After the above- mentioned molded material is sintered in argon at 1,210 deg.C for 1hr, a solution treatment is performed at 1,180 deg.C for 1hr, and then an aging treatment is performed at 850 deg.C for 1hr. When tantalum is used for a sample case in the above- mentioned procedures, the magnetic characteristics and the yield rate of products can be improved, and the effect such as stabilization of characteristics can also be obtained. |
