PURPOSE:To prevent erroneous operations, by automatically operating a switch in correspondence with the movement of an RF coil, shorting the unnecessary terminals of the RF coil, thereby automatically switching electric circuits. CONSTITUTION:An RF coil 2 for the head is arranged in an RF coil 1 for the body so that the coil 2 can be inserted and pulled out. A switching coil 3 is provided on both side surfaces of the RF coils 1 for the body and operated by a pin shaped projection 4, which is provided in the RF coil 2 for the head. When the pin shaped projection 4 enters into a pocket 10, an escapement 9 is rotated about 90 deg. with the advance of the pin shaped projection. Terminal pieces 6 and 6 are shorted by an opening and closing piece 8. When the RF coil 2 for the head is pulled out, the escapement is moved in the reverse direction. Therefore, the opening and closing piece 8 is returned to the non-conducting state from the short-circuit state. Thus the switch is automatically operated in correspondence with the movement of the RF coil, and the erroneous operations can be eliminated. |
