PURPOSE:To control frequency characteristics effectively without generating any return noise by switching the delay length of a signal delay circuit of each stage selectively within a range of one - plural sampling cycles while one sampling cycle is determined as a minimum unit. CONSTITUTION:A music signal generated with a key of the keyboard part of an electronic musical instrument is timbre-selected and inputted to a digital filter part having the digital filter circuit DFC to perform timbre control. The circuit DFC consists of cascaded digital filter units L1-LN, whose signal delay lengths are changed selectively within the range of one - plural sampling cycles while one sampling cycle is regarded as a minimum unit; and a control signal DLY for selecting a delay length is supplied to the units L1-LN through a delay length control circuit. Thus, frequency characteristics are controlled effectively without generating any return noise. |
