PURPOSE:To enable a blocking foreign element or the like to be supervised, by obtaining a static head from the pressure of water in both an inflow path and a delivery path of a water turbine further an estimated output of the water turbine from a relation between this static head and the opening of a guide vane and comparing this estimated output with an actual output. CONSTITUTION:A water turbine respectively provides in its inflow path and delivery path an inflow pressure detector 5 and a delivery pressure detector 6. A supervisory device, inputting a signal of the both detectors 5, 6 to a subtracter 14, outputs a static head signal. The device inputs this static head signal and the opening signal of a guide vane opening detector 8 to a function generator 15. And a signal of a water turbine estimated output is output from this function generator 5. While a wattmeter 16 detects an actual output of a generator driven by the water turbine. And the device, inputting a difference between the estimated output and the actual output to a comparator 25, compares this difference for whether or not it is within a permissible error range. And a fault is displayed in a display device 26 when the difference exceeds the permissible error range. |
