PURPOSE:To reduce the size of a transformer and to increase the efficiency of a power converter by controlling the ON time of a high frequency inverter to control the magnetic flux of a high frequency transformer, and providing a circuit for detecting the saturation to reset, thereby eliminating the saturation of the transformer. CONSTITUTION:In a power converter for converting a DC by a high frequency inverter into a high frequency AC to couple through a high frequency transformer, a rectifier, an energy storage element and the inverter with an AC system, switching pattern generating means 100 having a voltage pattern generator is provided to control ON or OFF the inverter. Magnetic flux control circuit 101 is connected with the means 100 to control so that a simulation signal TON of the magnetic flux of the transformer output from a full-conduction time calculator with polarity does not exceed the prescribed value. Further, a saturation detector of the transformer is provided to reset the limite value by a saturation time correction data transfer circuit on the basis of the output signal. |
