PURPOSE:To operate efficiently one 1H delay circuit by using a switch, which is switched with a recording/reproducing switching signal, to switch the circuit to be connected to a color signal separating circuit at a recording time and to a drop-out compensating circuit at a reproducing time. CONSTITUTION:At the recording time, a composite video signal inputted to a terminal 28 has the color signal phase inverted in every 1H period by the frequency interleaving system. Consequently, when the signal which has only color signal frequency components delayed in a glass delay line 20 by 1H period and has the phase inverted and the signal from the terminal 28 are added by an adder 29, low frequency components of a luminance signal and color signal components of two-fold amplitude are outputted, and low frequency components of the luminance signal are removed by a BPF31, and only color signal components are outputted from a terminal 32. If drop-out occurs at the reproducing time, the output of a drop-out detector 25 switches a drop-out changeover switch 26 to the side of a switch 22. A reproduced FM signal which is supplied to a switch 21 1H period before and is delayed in the delay line 20 by 1H period is outputted from a terminal 27. |
