PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of maintenance by providing an input/output start command processing function for test to an input/output processor and then a connection control function for test to a system controller for control of connection of the input/output processor. CONSTITUTION:An information processing system comprises an information processing subsystem 11 including a memory 14, an input/output processor 16, an arithmetic processor 15 and a system controller 13 which secures connection for each device and an information processing subsystem 12. The processor 15 gives an indication to the processor 16 to start an input/output action in order to execute an input/output instruction. The processor 16 reads an input/output control command and the control data stored in the memory 14 to perform an input/output action. Then the processor 16 informs the end of the input/output action to the processor 15 when said input/output action is over. |
