PURPOSE:To obtain a titled device capable of increasing an inlet tension and preventing meandering by arranging a wrapping different-speeds rolling mill consisting of a high-speed work roll capable of wrapping a strip around it and a low-speed work roll incapable of wrapping the strip, at the front of a tandem mill for strip-rolling. CONSTITUTION:In cold rolling a strip S by a tandem rolling mill 2; a wrapping different-speeds rolling mill 1 is arranged at the front of the mill 2, which is constituted of a large-diam. and high peripheral speed work roll 4 enabled to wrap the strip S around it and drive by a motor 3, a small-diam. and low peripheral speed, idle type work roll 5 not enabled to wrap the strip S and not driven by a motor, a deflector roll 6 on the work roll 4, and a backup roll 7 arranged at the underside of the roll 5. The strip S can be provided with a high tension at the inlet side of mill 2, and can be rolled under a large rolling reduction without causing meandering. |
