The compsn. comprises (1) an adduct of a butadiene type polymer with epoxy gp. with a basic amino cpd. and (2) a partial adduct of epoxy resin or modified epoxy resin with a basic amino cpd. as the main component. As epoxy gp-contg.butadiene type polymer is introduced as the constituting element of the paint compsn. and special catalysts are used selectively, curing property of the coating film is improved. Corrosion resistance, smoothness, flexibility and sticking property of the coating film and dispersion of pigment, stability of bath and throwing property are excellent. The compsn. pref. contains a block isocyanate cpd. as supplemental component. The compsn. pref. contains a urethane bond dissociation accelerating catalyst and/or unsatd. bond oxidation curing accelerating catalyst. The epoxy resin is pref. a bisphenol type epoxy resin or novolak type epoxy resin.
