PURPOSE:To eliminate the needs for a power equipment for a floating box type tide gate by a method in which a float box is inserted in a vertically movable manner into a box buried under the ground, and during the high tide, water is charged into the box buried to raise the float box by the buoyancy of water in such a way as to utilize the upper part of the float box projected from the ground's surface as a tide gate. CONSTITUTION:In a case wherein high tide is expected, a gate 6 is opened to direct external water 5 through an inlet tube 4 into a box 3 being buried. Whereupon, a float box 8 inserted in a vertically movable manner into the box 3 is gradually raised as the water level rises, and a foot board 16 is pushed up. The upper part of the float box 8 is then projected from the ground's surface to become a tide gate. The needs or power equipments for vertically moving the float box can thus be eliminated, and the setting of the tide gate is made possible. |
