PURPOSE:To make it possible to engage a clutch without axially pressing both a driving disc and driven one in the case of engaging the clutch by arranging a working element to engage or release the above both discs between them on the periphery of the driving discs. CONSTITUTION:A clutch 10 comprises of a driving disc 1 fixed on the output shaft 25 of a prime mover, a driven disc 2 which is revolvably mounted on a shaft 25 extruding from the center of the driving disc 1 to the right and has a cavity 9 to wholely fit with the driving disc 1 in its left side, and a torsion meter 11 fixed on the right side of the driven disc 2. The inside of the driving disc 1 is provided with plural pressure oil working chambers 5 arranged radially and at regular intervals. Each pressure oil working chamber 5 has a working element 3 slidably inserted in it, and when the working element 3 is hydraulically kept fitting in with a concave portion 4 provided on the inside of a cylindrical flange 6 of the driven disc 2, the working element 3 couples the driving disc 1 with the driven disc 2 to transmit a power from the former to the latter. |
