<p>Arrangement of a safety support, actuated by a pressure medium is suitable for use on lifting devices for vehicles, rail vehicles esp. A support pillar is fitted at a lifting piston actuated in a pressure-medium cylinder and the support pillar is provided with notches over the entire lifting range of the lifting device. A locking device which for unlocking is dependent on a further source of a pressure medium and is provided with compression springs and with a locking bolt which fits into the notches and possesses a spring-loaded locking pin, as claimed in Patent Application 76/2595. A lifting installation consists of sever lilifting platforms, each lifting platform being formed by two or more load-bearing pillars with guide cylinders, pressure cylinders and double-acting lifting pistons and at least two such load-bearing pillars are being mutually connected by a synchronising differential mechanism. The lifting piston in each load-bearing pillar sub-divides the pressure cylinder into a lower and an upper pressure chamber filled with pressure medium, and is connected to the load-bearing pillar by a piston rod which protrudes axially upwards from the pressure cylinder. Means are provided for controlling the flow of pressure medium into the upper or lower pressure chambers and for adjusting the outflow of pressure medium.</p> |
