PURPOSE:To prevent the wrong decision of the titled method by measuring continued time of reflected light reflected from the defect of the surface of a glass bottle and discrimination badness only in case the reflected light continues more than the prescribed time. CONSTITUTION:The title is formed of a photoelectric photodetector 1 photodetecting the reflected light reflected from the defect of the surface of the glass bottle rotating at a constant speed, an amplifier 2 amplifying its output waveform and a comparator 4 comparing amplified output with the threshold voltage generated by a threshold voltage generator 3 and making a comparison between two values. A timer 5 is connected with such well known detectors and when the reflected light is photodetected by the photodetector 1, the timer 5 is operated to measure the continued time of the reflected light and a badness signal is outputted only when the reflected light continues, for instance, for >=9msec. Thus, it is prevented that the glass bottle having only foam or a seam line is decided to be the bad bottle by mistake. |
