PURPOSE:To reduce the dimension of the water sealing apparatus part of a spherical valve by accommodating a sealing ring into a seal-ring case installed onto a valve body and installing a servomotor for operating the sealing ring onto the valve body. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical seal-ring case 3 is formed in parallel to the direction of water flow onto a part of a valve body 2, and a sealing ring 4 is accommodated into the case. A servomotor 6 is for operating the sealing ring is installed onto the valve body 2, and the piston 7 of the servomotor and the sealing ring are connected through connecting arms 8 and 9. Working fluid is supplied onto the piston 7 of the servomotor and the sealing ring from the outside of a valve trunk 1 through hydraulic-pressure feeding pipes 12 and 23, and the servomotor is driven. |
