PURPOSE:To prevent the exposure of the steel face of a steel sheet pile even after joined and driven by a method in which an adhesive, visco-elastic anticorrosive material is coated on or injected into the joint portions of steel sheet piles in such a way as to lessen resistance of joining and driving during the driving period of the steel sheet piles. CONSTITUTION:An anticorrosive film 2 is applied to portions other than the joint portions of steel sheet pile 1, and an adhesive, visco-elastic anticorrosive material 3 is coated on or injected into the joints of the sheet piles 1 to form anticorrosive layers. The anticorrosive material 3 used is composed of a mixture of asphalt and a tackifier with or without an asphalt reforming agent or of a ruber formless elastic sealant. Since the joints of the steel sheet piles 1 are coated or injected with the anticorrosive material 3, the joining and driving resistance of the piles 1 is lessened to avoid the exposure of the steel face of the piles 1 even after joined and driven. |
