Self-erecting crane with laterally hinged upper mast and folding jib end, which can be erected in very confined spaces since raising of the mast and unfolding of the jib take place at such a great height that obstacles normally occurring present no problems. All erection movements are remotely controlled so that they can be performed solely by the crane driver. The hinges are provided with automatically locking coupling elements, which can only be released by remotely activated power actuation. <IMAGE>
