PURPOSE:To obtain an electrophotographic dry type developer efficiently by preparing a slurry contg. as a dispersed phase a granular compsn. composed essentially of a thermoplastic resin or the like and a colorant and subjecting the granular compsn. to high speed shearing stress to pulverize it. CONSTITUTION:The granular compsn. composed essentially of a thremoplastic resin, such as polyester, and/or a wax, and a colorant, such as carbon black, and a liquid not dissolving it, such as water, are mixed to prepare a slurry. The intended electrophotographic dry type developer is obtained by using a ''Supermascolloider(R)'' provided with a fixed disc grinding stone 1, and a rotary disc grinding stone 2, feeding the prepared slurry through a hole 6, introducing it into a gap 3 by centrifugal force between the stones 1, 2, and giving shearing stress of >=10m/sec speed to pulverize the granular compsn. |
