PURPOSE:To obtain the titled device which is easy to confirm inside after sealing, and besides radiation of electromagnetic wave to the outside is controlled, by a method wherein the metallic coating is applied to a transparent plate and a coated film is earthed. CONSTITUTION:An electrode of a semiconductor element 2 is connected to input and output leads 3-1, 3-2 with the intermediary of input and output metallized layers 9-1, 9-2 which are provided at the part of a ceramic side wall 6. A transparent crystal plate is used for a cover 8 of a package, and a very thin metallic film 4 is deposited at the under surface, and the cover 8 is soldered to a side wall 6. The metallic film 4 of the cover 8 is connected to a metallic base 1 by a metallized layer 5 on the side wall 6. By this constitution, the radiation of electromagnetic wave from inside to outside of the package is controlled by the metallic thin film 4 and the metallized layer 5 on the side wall, and since the metallic film 4 of the underside of transparent crystal plate 7 is very thin, inside of the device can be visually observed through the cover 8. |
