The invention relates to a device for unloading objects transported in stacks, in an automatic, individual manner and according to programmable intervals. According to the invention, the vehicle is provided with a main conveyor 5, and with an unloading device 10, which can be tipped about a horizontal rotational axis, and consists of, on the one hand, a fork 13 for grasping the transported stacks, and on the other hand, a plate 11 equipped with a secondary transporter 18. The vehicle may be provided with sensors and counters for advancement ensuring automation of the unloading cycle. The invention also relates to the method for unloading with the aid of such a vehicle.
