<p>PURPOSE:To enable to improve the strength at the end of the title part by a structure wherein weirs to converge long fibers in the predetermined direction are provided at the boundary between a final part form and an excessively elongated cavity part. CONSTITUTION:Firstly, one or a plurarity of prepreg sheets are placed, for example, onto a bottom force 8 under the state that a molding die D is open. The prepreg sheet contains long fibers, which exist throughout the whole length of the sheet, and short fibers mixed on the whole with the long fibers. Secondly, the heated molding die D is closed so as to hot-press molding the prepreg sheets into forms corresponding to the forms of molding cavities E in order to obtain a molded part B. An FRP part A as a final part is obtained by removing an excessively elongated part C from the molded part B by trimming or the like. Because the long fibers are converged between the respective weirs 7b and 8b in the FRP part A, the state that the long fibers 5 exist in such a manner as to surround the whole periphery of each mounting hole 3 is realized. Thus, because the long fibers exist even at the longitudinal end part of long fibers, cracks or the like are hard to develop at the end portion of the FRP parts.</p> |
