PURPOSE:To miniaturize a cassette case and to mount the cassette case to a printer without staining a hand, by dividing the cassette receiving an endless ink ribbon into two right and left split cases and mounting respective split cases to the right and left sides of the printer. CONSTITUTION:A cassette case is formed by connecting two right and left split cases 5, 6. The engagement of an engagement hole 7 and an engagement pawl 8 is detached to repulsively engage the projection 13 of the left split case 5 with the left side mount hole 30 of a ribbon base 28 while the projection 13 of the right split case 6 is engaged with the right side mount hole 30. The ink ribbon 15 is drawn out to the front surface of a platen 27 without being slackened even if the spaced apart distance between the split cases 5, 6 is not lengthened and, in the operation during this period, it is unnecessary to touch the ink ribbon 15 by a hand and operation is performed sanitarily. In this case, if a knob 32 is formed to the split case 6, operability further becomes well. |
