The subject of the invention is a disc brake with automatic adjustment of the type comprising a sliding calliper 10, a brake motor 12 acting directly on a first friction element 14 and by reaction across the calliper 10 on a second friction element 16, the brake motor 12 comprising a mechanical control 32 acting on a hydraulic control piston 20 across an automatic adjustment device. The automatic adjustment device is formed by a screw-nut system 46-60 with reversible pitch capable of being actuated by the hydraulic piston 20 beyond a predetermined travel of the latter. The adjustment device comprises a bush 76 rotationally secured to the nut and interacting with a control piston 64 immobilising the bush 76 in rotation and translation when the hydraulic pressure acting on the hydraulic control piston 20 reaches a predetermined value. According to the invention the control piston 64 is received with sealed sliding in a bore 62 formed in the hydraulic control piston 20 thus allowing the dismantling of the hydraulic piston 20 of the control piston 64 from the bush 76 and the nut 60 as a unit.
