PURPOSE:To prevent the exposure operation of an original from being hindered when a photosensitive drum is destaticized, by irradiating the light of an exposure lamp toward a white light shielding part provided in one side end part of a contact glass when the photosensitive drum is rotated twice and irradiating the reflected light to the peripheral surface of the photosensitive drum to erase the remaining electric charge on the drum. CONSTITUTION:When the exposure operation of an original image is terminated, running of an original platen 3 is stopped, and a white light shielding part 20 provided on the lower face in the rear end part of a contact glass is allowed to face an optical system part 7. The operation of a main electrifying part 9 is stopped, and a photosensitive drum 8 is rotated in this state while lighting an exposure lamp 4, and the reflected light from the white light shielding part 20 is irradiated to the peripheral surface of the photosensitive drum 8 through a condenser lens 6 to erase the remaining electric charge on the drum 8. Simultaneously, a remaining toner on the drum 8 is recovered by a developing roll 21 provided in a developing part 10. |
