PURPOSE:To accurately prevent material for amalgam formation from falling into a luminous tube by providing a capsule filled with the material for amalgam formation in a container whose one end is opened and whose other end is sealed, in the capillary of the luminous tube so that the sealing side of the container can be located on an exhaust hole side. CONSTITUTION:A capsule 9 is filled with material for amalgam formation made of bismuth lead, etc. in a container 10 made of glass whose one end is opened and whose other end is sealed. After such a capsule 9 is inserted in a capillary 7 so that the sealing side A of the container 10 can be located on the side of the exhaust hole 8 of the capillary 7, the other end of the capillary 7 is sealed. As a result, during the manufacturing process of a luminous tube 1 and the lighting of a fluorescent lamp, the material for amalgam formation can be prevented from falling into the inner part of the luminous tube 1. |
