A single conductor, or a conductor bundle is retained over a limited length section by a completely enclosing, integral block of foamed plastics. With a connecting part, the block forms a moisture-proof coupling. Pref. the block forms a shaped unit positively connectable to a sealing socket with sealing lips on surfaces in a wall aperture. The block may be itself in the form of such a socket. It may have an end for retaining a sleeve for the conductor. Several such sleeves may be used for conductor branches, retained in the block with spacings corresponding to their dias. The sleeve end securing may be provided by solid embedding in the plastics foam.
