This device comprises a female part 20 comprising a coupling body 22 integral with the rod 17 of the ejection ram of the press and a cylindrical transfer body 29. This body 29 can move axially with respect to the coupling body 22 and catching rollers 34, 35 are held in associated notches 31, 32 of this body 29. The male part of this device is formed by a cylindrical end-piece 19 provided with a peripheral groove 21 capable of receiving the catching rollers 35. The coupling body 22 has a groove 26 capable of receiving the catching rollers 34. The coupling of the two male 19 and female 20 parts is achieved when the catching rollers 34, 35 are housed in the grooves 26, 21. Once the ejection is completed, the ram rod 17 goes back into the ejection ram and the transfer body 29 accompanies its movement until the release stop 40 butts up against the movable plate 4 of the press and causes the disengagement by the exit of the rollers 34, 35 from their grooves. The female part of this coupling device can be mounted on the movable plate 4 of the press and its male part on the battery for ejecting its tool. <IMAGE>
