PURPOSE:To reduce the load on control equipment and to reduce the cost by providing a detecting means for the combustion pressure and rotating speed of the engine and a sampling period control means for a combustion pressure signal, and varying the sampling period of the combustion pressure according to the engine rotating speed. CONSTITUTION:Intake and outlet valves 8 and 9 are provided to intake and outlet ports 6 and 7 of a cylinder head 2 respectively and a combustion pressure sensor 10 for combustion pressure detection is fitted. A disk 11 having one reference hole 13 and angle holes 12 bored at pitch of about 10 deg. is fixed onto a crank shaft 3, and angle pulse oscillators 14a and 14b and reference pulse oscillators 15a and 15b are allowed to respond to each other for the detection of the engine rotating speed and crank angle and pulse oscillation for combustion pressure sampling. A sampling period corresponding to the crank angle is increased at a high rotating operation side where the combustion state is stable. Consequently, the sampling period is made uniform with time. |
