When taking radiographic images using a contrast medium, the prior art requires so-called serial radiographs because only empirical data provide information as to when the contrast medium roughly arrives at the site to be radiographed. However, in the prior art it is impossible to obtain any reliable data in advance. The invention provides a remedy for this in that it creates a device for the determination of the time interval between an intravenous or arterial injection of a radiolabelled liquid, especially an X-ray contrast medium, and arrival at the site to be radiographed in the patient, which is characterised in that a time measuring device is connected with a counting tube which can be fitted on the site to be radiographed and effects an interruption of the time measurement or triggering of the radiograph on occurrence of radioactive peak values.
